Where smoke meets stone. A grounding vessel for daily ritual.

Incense deserves more than a dish. This hand-finished travertine sphere cradles resin, cones, or sticks with quiet intention. The natural stone absorbs warmth, releases it slowly, and anchors your space in stillness.

  • Natural travertine holds heat gently, no scorching, no cracking
  • Textured sphere design catches ash cleanly, less mess, more presence
  • Weighted stone base stays put, stable on any surface
More Details

Wipe gently with a dry cloth after cooling. Ash can be tipped out or left to accumulate. Avoid submerging in water, travertine is porous and absorbs moisture.

Materials & specs
  • Natural travertine marble, each piece varies slightly in tone and veining
  • Approximate dimensions: 10cm diameter sphere
  • Weight: approximately 600g, substantial and stable
  • Suitable for resin, cone, and stick incense

Cool stone. Warm smoke. Still air.

Carved from natural travertine, each burner carries the quiet texture of sediment laid down over centuries. The sphere sits heavy in the hand, porous, imperfect, warm to the touch after use. Soft cream tones with subtle veining make it disappear into linen shelves, timber consoles, or bathroom ledges.

The central hollow cradles frankincense resin, palo santo, or cone incense with room for ash to collect beneath. No need to clean between burns. Just light, watch the smoke curl, and let the stone do its work.

The travertine is immediately convincing

We've seen incense holders that claim to be stone and are clearly resin. This is not that. The weight, the surface texture, the cool touch, it's genuine. The smoke rises cleanly and the ash stays contained.

A grounding object for a morning ritual

We light incense most mornings and this has made that ritual feel more intentional. The travertine sits on the windowsill and the morning light picks up its veining. Each burn feels considered because of it.

Heavier and more considered than expected

I ordered it expecting it to be decorative and it turned out to be genuinely useful. The opening is sized right for most sticks, the ash area is deep enough to be practical, and the stone stays cool throughout.

Frequently asked questions

What can I burn inside it?

Sfera is designed for six different uses, palo santo sticks, incense sticks, incense cones, incense coils, sage bundles, and frankincense resin. The domed lid can be removed entirely or rested beside the base depending on what you're burning. The bowl catches all ash and residue, keeping your surface clean.

Does the stone get too hot to touch?

Travertine absorbs and disperses heat gradually. It warms gently during use but won't scorch surfaces or burn fingers.

Is each one exactly the same?

No and that's the point. Natural travertine varies in veining, tone, and texture. Yours will be one of one.

How do I clean the ash residue?

Tip out loose ash and wipe with a dry cloth. Some residue will settle into the stone's texture over time, this is normal and adds character.

How do I use it for resin incense?

Place a small piece of frankincense or copal resin directly in the bowl. The travertine warms slowly, releasing the resin's scent over time. No charcoal is needed.

How heavy is it?

Solid travertine gives it considerable presence — approximately 600 grams. It stays put on any surface without a base.

Can it be used outdoors?

In a sheltered position, yes. Wind will scatter ash and affect the burn. Prolonged outdoor exposure is not recommended for the stone.
